Addison is a 3.3-acre multifamily development within the Orient Heights neighborhood of East Boston, Massachusetts. NRC has owned the 144 Addison Street site since 2005 as part of its acquisition of Maverick Mills (175 McClellan Highway). In 2017, NRC entered into a joint venture with Gate Residential Properties (an affiliate of Redgate Real Estate) to develop the site. Named for its location, Addison is a 230-unit mid-rise multifamily complex totaling 215,000 SF. This project responds to the increased demand for new market-rate housing accessible to Boston’s urban core. The site is a 10-minute walk from the Orient Heights MBTA Blue Line station, which is a seven-minute train ride to Downtown Boston.
