Fort Andross

14 Maine Street
Brunswick, Maine

Fort Andross is a 450,000 SF mixed-use office, retail, artist studios, warehouse and makerspace mill conversion located along the Androscoggin River in Brunswick, Maine. The complex is the dominant property on Brunswick’s Maine Street downtown corridor, Fort Andross was purchased by NRC-affiliate Waterfront Maine in 1986. This historic brick structure, once known as the Cabot Mill, was renamed for the original fort that was erected on the same site in 1688. Over the last three decades, Waterfront Maine has continuously invested in renovations and upgrades to improve the mill and make it a first-class business center with modern amenities. The building features 16-foot ceilings and large windows to capitalize on the majestic views of the river. Fort Andross is adjacent to Route 1, near I-95, and a half-mile walk from the Brunswick Amtrak Station, which provides direct service to both Portland and Boston. Today’s tenant roster includes a mix of professional services and retail tenants, including the NRC-owned and operated Cabot Mill Antiques and Cumberland Self Storage, as well as Bowdoin College and The Nature Conservancy.
