Hathaway Creative Center is a five-story 230,000 SF mixed-use commercial office, multifamily and retail mill conversion in Waterville, Maine. The commercial space is anchored by MaineGeneral Health, a full-service medical provider with locations throughout the state of Maine. Other commercial tenants include the Central Maine Growth Council and Hathaway Mill Antiques. The fourth and fifth floors consist of 67 market-rate studio, one, two, and three-bedroom apartments. Located on the Kennebec River, Hathaway is less than two miles from I-95. It is situated at the southern end of Waterville’s Main Street commercial corridor, which is in the midst of a major revitalization project spearheaded by nearby Colby College and the Harold Alfond Foundation. Hathaway was originally constructed as a mill for a cotton manufacturing company in 1882, and later became the manufacturing site for the iconic Hathaway Shirt Company. Hathaway Creative Center has been owned and operated by NRC since 2017, and neighbors NRC’s Lockwood Mills redevelopment project.
